Treatment Under General Anaesthetic

At Coral Coast Dental we offer dental treatment under a General Anaesthetic. General Anaesthetic procedures are carried out by Dr Haddon at the Mater Hospital in Bundaberg. A General Anaesthetic is where you are put to sleep for the duration of a procedure. It is usually a day stay in hospital with you having to be there an hour prior to your procedure and usually there an hour after you wake up and have something to eat and drink.

Why Have a General Anaesthetic?

A General Anaesthetic is great option for;

  • Anxious Patients
  • Difficult or Multiple Extractions (especially wisdom teeth)
  • Young Children with a Large Amount of Treatment Required
  • Special Needs Patients

Having a general anaesthetic takes the stress away from patients or parents concerned about the treatment needing to be done. If this sounds like an option that a family member, friend or yourself would be interested in please contact Coral Coast Dental to organise a consultation.

Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risk. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
